01Why this page exists

Love Himalaya Journey launched in 2026. While our guides build up their own photo library from the trails they actually walk, some pages use photographs shared by Wikimedia Commons contributors under Creative Commons licences.

Most of those licences require credit to the person who took the picture. A small number are released under CC0, which does not require attribution; we still name the creator as good editorial practice. We are replacing these images with our own photography as our guides send it back from the trail, and each entry disappears from this list when its photograph does.

Other photographs were taken by people who walked the trail and shared their work with us. We credit them here rather than on the photo itself, and they are marked “Used with permission” below.

If you are one of the photographers listed here and something is wrong or missing, write to our team and we will correct it.
